Then we IR cure the wheels to assure proper nano binding and bring out further brilliance in the finish.

Once completed, you can expect easier clean up of wheels and an amazing brilliance. Glossy wheels will look more wet and deeper in color. Matte/semi-gloss wheels will look richer in color and resist brake dust more so than before. Nanoing wheels and calipers isn't going to make them dust-proof, but you'll notice less of a film on wheels in between washes, and when washing, mild cleaner and water alone will be all that's needed to clean wheels.

Hope that helps.

As for someone in OH, I'm only familiar with CQuartz, so here's a good starting point:

Prior to that, my last car cost $800 for the Pro Plus.
Who in the Bay Area (South Bay, Mountain View/Palo Alto area) does the best work? Want paint correction, ceramic coat, front end wrap...

Call up Premier Protective Films. They can get you buttoned up with PPF, tint and Modesta(I am a bit biased on that portion). They are literally a huge part of the reason I got into PPF in 2010. They were the first in the industry to make it an art IMHO. They showed that PPF could look awesome when no one else could. And they now have Modesta too.

Agreed Premier is the best in the biz (their price reflects so being the most expensive in the Bay Area), but their wait list is pretty long and I don't think they use Xpel which is what I wanted but instead a different film called Prestige? (Correct me if I am wrong). I just recently got my car and need to get this done before incurring any damages.

They use Prestige Film Technologies' paint protection film that is called Clear Guard Nano but I believe if a client insists upon Xpel they will install it. I am not 100% on that last part but I think it is accurate.

CGN really is crazy awesome PPF.

I think he thinks like me in that if you like to wash regularly yourself then this stuff doesnt really do more than wax. Just read about the warranties. To each his own.

Hi Mike. The difference between ClearGuard Nano SR and Xpel is a world apart. Below are the areas where ClearGuard does exceptionally well over any other ppf on the market:

1. highest gloss of any film on the market
2. best clarity of any film on the market (Xpel exhibits quite a bit of orange peel texture)
3. high hydrophobic coating on the film which makes it easier to clean and contaminants do not stick on it that well - also makes it easier to clean (Xpel, Suntek does not have this feature or at least not the level of ClearGuard Nano SR)

The obvious other side of this would be the quality of installation. We provide both precut and custom app, but custom is where we truly specialize in (most installers put on the precut stuff) in and have been doing this since 1997.

We recommend setting up a time to come in and take a look at our work in person and be able to see the difference as we have all other films here for anyone wanting to view in comparison to ClearGuard.

As for Coatings, we highly recommend Modesta to which we are an Authorized Dealer of.

One more suggestion where I have had phenomenal personal experience for PPF and ceramic coatings at is OmegaWerks in Pleasanton. They are very highly rated and book appointments far out, so give them a call just so you have more options.

They have plenty of experience with Porsches and high end exotics.

Here are some shots to compare on a black panel between the various films on the market. ClearGuard Nano is on the left.

I have done years of the former and when I switched to the latter I can assure those who want to know, the difference is night and day. With tar, sap and bugs no one can tell me anything different.
