Default GTS PSE burbling - all but disappeared

I was in an accident and post body shop repair, my PSE burble is much more subtle than it was prior. It went to a dealer for a software update in the repair process. I've heard that a software update can change the characteristics of the exhaust. If so, can it be reverted by the dealer?

See if you can trade cars with the guy on this forum that wanted to program out the burble sound.

Most likely a hardware prob vs software. Maybe the change over valve?

Not sure of the cause but I would check the vacuum line that goes into the exhaust. Check to see if it's come loose. Should see a small hose in the middle of the exhaust about 12" in from the cars back edge. It can come off and effect the PSE. If it's loose you can DIY or bring it in for service.

Might want to have the solenoids checked. Mine failed on my 991.1 and the exhaust sounded louder than normal, but without all the burbles when switched on

Does the PSE still work, but simply no burble/pops/crackles on deceleration? (If that's the case, I'd like to have the same malfunction)

It was a rear end accident, yes. The replies in this thread make me wonder if the dealer is going to place the blame on the body shop.

Try taking it out of sport mode but with PSE still activated.

That is correct. I was responding to Pfan. If you want to test pops, place in sport mode PSE activated.

Plenty of pops w/PSE on in Sport or Sport Plus. Problem is, this creates too much drama when driving around town. Consequently, I'm forced to drive in Normal mode w/PSE, or Sport/Sport Plus without PSE. (And I detest Normal mode due to the idiotic and unsafe momentary throttle hold on deceleration).
