New to me 911 S on the way
Getting ready to join the 911 community. This is my first 911 so I am not a "purist". That said, I concentrated on looking for a manual 991.1 for the last few months. Looking for a manual, gray, silver or blue 911 leaves one with very few choices in the used market. PDK, blacks and whites are everywhere. CPO was also important to me, the longer the better.
In the last week, I started looking for used 991.2's, Another scarce commodity. Then I found one on Thursday, placed an offer on Friday which was accepted. I pick it up next Tuesday. You can never find the perfect build unless you order one new but this one checked most of my boxes. It has 1,900 miles and a CPO through July 2022. The salesman did a walk around with a critical eye and told me the car was near perfect.
Below is the build:
$128,245.00
GT Silver Metallic
Standard Interior in Black
July 13, 2016 – in service date
Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) incl. PASM Sport Suspension (20 mm Lower)
20" Carrera Classic Wheels
Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest
Manual Transmission
Heated Multifunction Steering Wheel
Rear Model Designation Painted
Fire Extinguisher
Luggage net in passenger footwell
Smoking package
LED Headlights incl. Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+)
BOSE® Surround Sound System
Pedals and footrest in Aluminum
Power Sport Seats (14-way) with Memory Package
Premium Package Plus i.c.w. Power Sport Seats (14-way)
Sport Package
Instrument dials in White
Sport Chrono Clock Dial in White
It will be a daily driver for me. My previous fun car was a TT 335i with an aftermarket tune. I really missed driving that car with loads of torque on demand at 1,700 rpm's which is perfect for a dd and much fun when having a chance to wring it out.
I have learned a lot here on Rennlist and actively refreshed the 991.1 HFS section and the vehicle marketplace. A great repository for information and as in all forums, not lacking in opinions.
Getting very excited and looking forward to joining the 911 brother/sisterhood.

Congrats! I know you've been looking a while. Glad you found what you wanted! I agree, it's very difficult to find your perfect used 911. I would also have preferred Blue over Black, but that's the only thing that I don't like about my spec.
Coming from a 335, I think the power delivery should feel very familiar. You're going to love it!
Congrats again!

Thanks all for well wishes. 8" of snow here today. Good thing I don't have the 911 yet.
Taking Amtrak from Richmond VA to Newark NJ on Tuesday with my best bud. Uber to the dealer for inspection and paperwork. Driving back on Wednesday. Even though everyone knows what it looks like, obligatory pics to follow.
