coolant pipe damage ?
Greetings,
I have had my 2013 911 C2 (CPO) for 8 months. Love it!
It is at a dealer (diff than my original purchase dealer) and getting an early Christmas gift (PSE upgrade). While it was on the lift, the dealer informs me of a bent to the Coolant pipe (rear) . Attached pictures show more details of the bent/damage.
According to the tech, there are no leaks nor any other damage/pressure to other parts from this bent pipe.
I don't believe this damage nor the scruff's to the oil pan happened while she is under my care. Car is well cared and driven (duh! :-).
Questions/guidance:
1)If this damage was from previous owner/ownership, does/should the CPO/inspection report the damage and fix before offering for Sale?
2) Do I have any basis to go back to the dealer(seller) and ask that it be resolved/fixed?
3) Should this be repaired or left as is?
4) If choose to leave as is, would it cause other issues/damage (future Warranty)?
Mixed bag. for PSE and for the damage.
Thanks

That is a road obstacle induced damage IMHO. Notice the oil pan, it has the same damage - scrapes in line with coolant pipe crush marks. Also, notice the damage to the intake housing where the pipe connects to the engine.

To my untrained eye, those marks look too fresh to be 8 months old.
I'd want the coolant pipe fixed. Would not be as concerned about the oil pan.
You'll love the PSE.

Thanks for the insight.
When I saw the picture, the thought did cross my mind, these look fresh(based on the color). Not sure how scrapes/gouge on aluminium age. If it had happened on my watch (am the only driver), that kind of crush/obstacle would have put out loud noise and I would have been all over it. I still kick myself for causing a small front lip scrape(under side), that too in a parking lot and during 2nd week of ownership.
Oh well, the joys of 911 ownership; low ride height and first world problems. Will get it taken care :-)
thanks

What Lex said! Plus it is a bit disappointing that our cars have such an exposed piece of important cooling hardware and in alluminum! I have heard of coolant pipes failing (not 991) on the track and of course it is immediate shutdown for that car AND everyone else until track is cleaned up!
Enjoy the new sound and report back what route/solution you went with. Good luck.

Looks like someone back over a curb.
I would get the pipe replaced and drive in good health.
