Sorry if this has been discussed, but search returned nothing and the electronic manual wasn't much help either.

So this week, my car started warning me of an impending oil change:

"oil change in 6,500 miles or 25 days".

Maybe 250 days.... What's up with this? My Cayenne never alerts me until about 750 miles. Car just had the 30k service and now has 31,800 miles....

 

Probably needs to be reset again.

There was also a computer update years ago correcting premature oil change warnings.

 

There was a software update a while ago to correct this issue.
Basically a premature alert.
