Default Suncoast umbrella

got one for my 991.1 recently. Is it supposed to be secure in the space in the passenger side door sill? It fits, but loosely and easily displaced.

Stock photo, but I actually have a hard time getting mine in there. Very tight, fits like a glove.

Fits very snug in mine. I turn the handle so it is curved and adjust the cover so that "Porsche" is visible (OCD hahaha!).

991 GTS here and same deal, no storage slot in the passenger door sill. I have the same umbrella and keep it in the drivers door front pocket below the door speaker. Seems to fit fine but sometimes I can hear the zipper rattling when I have the Burmester cranked up (which is most of the time).

I almost tried to find a 2013 instead of my 2014 so I could have the umbrella slot. Lol. Crazy.

Porsche has finally started to listen to my insistence that our cars should not be driven in the rain.

Beg to differ Lex! The C4s loves the rain ...& the snow oh no! Even the cab version!

As for the 2013 and below and all 997 & 996 911s that umbrella holder in the pax side door sill is cool -for your passenger! A stretch to reach for the driver and the Porsche Design umbrella fits but it does stick "up" just enough that a foot/shoe
can easily dislodge it and kick it out the door when exiting, never to be seen again. Ask me how I know! $100 loss!

When I bought my second 991S, I pulled my umbrella from the old one and put in in the new one at the dealer. Salesman looked puzzled and then said he had no idea that the cubby on the passenger side was for an umbrella...

I only found out about it from shopping on Suncoast's website when I first picked mine up. And then I HAD to fill that empty hold LOL!
