Default Name That Color

This month's Panarama features a "blue" Targa on the front cover. The pic is fantastic as is the color. Anyone know the official name?

Mine is MBM and it doesn't look as flat. The Targa on the Panorama cover looks non metallic to me. I've seen this color but can't out my finger in it. Thanks.

It's a 991.1 GTS. My vote would be Dark Blue Metallic.

Metallic paints are notorious for being hard to say what color it is from a photograph. The pictures I have seen of MBM, where I know 100% the car was that color, all look a bit different in different photos. So very dependent on the light.

When I zoom in on the digital copy of Panorama, on my iPad, it does look like a Metallic paint.

I would put my 2 Cents on Dark Blue Metallic.

It looks metallic to me on the PCA page. More so than on the mag cover.

Found this link that shows many blues that are offered: http://teamspeed.com/forums/porsches...d-porsche.html

I cant tell Lapis from DBM, looks exactly the same to me.

Midnight is much darker than Lapis. It has a dusty almost black look.
Both have purple variations in changing light. Both are metallic.

It's a GTS, so it's a .1. Given that PTS cars are rare these days, I'm going to guess that it's standard Dark Blue.

I agree this is a 991.1 GTS and the paint is metallic. Whatever standard colors (i.e.non PTS) were available on the .1 is what I would check. I don't recall what the colors were.

That would be dark blue. And......dark blue.

The 991.1 GTS had 2 non-PTS blues available - Sapphire Blue and Dark Blue Metallic.

Per the last PTS list that Eduardo published (I think it's this one: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/7085...l#post12337921), Lapis Blue was not available for the 991.

Pretty sure it's DBM. As a biased owner of a DBM GTS, I love the color and think it looks particularly great in the dawn/dusk lighting that the Panorama cover image appears to be taken in.

Well now I feel dumb...owner of DBM 991 asks the color of another 991.1, also DBM. At least I'm consistent with color addiction.

In the sunlight, DBM has powerful purple tones. The image in question doesn't look purple to me. I do like the darker wheels with DBM. A combination I've not seen before.
