Default Making A Fashion Grey Targa GTS Even Sexier-With HRE+AWE & More

We all know, the Targa GTS is a rare breed to begin with. Our good friend Tom, who is an avid Porsche enthusiast (see his 930 and 993 project threads by clicking HERE and HERE). In Mid 2015, he ordered a beautiful Fashion Grey 2016 Targa GTS to add to the stable with of-corse the 3rd pedal and some Ceramics as well as a plethora of other exclusive options making it one of the finest 991’s we have seen to date even in stock form!

Before the car even came, Tom started pondering his mod list. He was wondering which wheels, exhaust, suspension to go with. After going through many many options, tom settled on the centerlock version of the HRE P106 in the brushed/clear finish. The finish we though complimented the rollbar on the Targa’s. We mated those to the factory Pirelli PZero’s which made life easy and cost effective for everyone! The next item on the agenda was the suspension. Now with the offset pushed out a bit more than OEM to make it flush, lowering it a bit more became as important to completing the stance as the wheels were. We opted for the nicely squatted stance of the H&R Springs.

Finally, we needed a bit more sound and power. Tom was wondering between a few options but once we sent him a few more clips of the AWE Switchpath - he was sold! The gargling and popping on top of the ability to re-use the factory PSE features really made it easy and cost effective, so the parts were quickly shipped out to Tom along with a set of AWE’s Diamond Black Tips to give the car a nice mean look.

At the end of the day - this turned out to be probably one of our favorite builds - so we had our good friend Jeremy Cliff, who is local to Tom, shoot the car to showcase it. It goes to show, no matter where you are in the country or world, we got you covered.
