Locking the Car if Your Key Fob is Dead
My key fob was pronounced dead at the market today when I was trying to lock my 911. I had previously replaced the batteries in the other fob a few months ago. That one died when my car was locked and I was able to unlock the car by lifting the handle and using the slide-out conventional key.
This time, the fob died when the car was unlocked. Is there a way to lock the car with a dead fob? Pulling up the handle opens the door when it is unlocked, making it either difficult or impossible to lock it with the conventional metal key. I just left it unlocked for a few minutes and no harm was done. But if I were in the middle of the city, I would have been pretty unhappy to leave it unlocked. Did I miss something obvious?

Do you have entry and drive?
Did the little button on the handle not work as well?
