I've had awfully good luck with Forgeline. You get to build out exactly what you want, with plenty of guidance from serious Porsche racers. After years of trouble with factory wheels (and a very bad set of HREs), I've had zero pothole breaks, cracks or any other problems. Since each set is custom-built, it takes a while. I have them on my Jeep and AMG, had them on my Boxster, and will get them for the 911.
You'll note that Dan Nagy also likes !! We're pretty much 'in the same boat' speccing C2 manuals and appear to share the same taste in wheels: ie. referencing past Porsche wheels.
The 'Sport Classics' look, as you say, great. A couple of questions: (1) did you source these from your OPC or an independent and (2) can you get the rear rims to suit the new offsets on the Gen 2: ie. ET 76 ??!!
BBS Germany seem to be recommending their CH-R wheel as their 'only' 19" option.... but that confuses me since these wheels do not come in ET76 and are not 'split' , so can't be re-jigged for this latest offset.
I have to assume that they've physically tried the CH-R already on the Gen 2 and found that its ET50 still fits....which is either (1) encouraging that it's the design more than the offset which is key to fitment or (2) someone's made a mistake. It's all a bit confusing especially if you want to stick with 19" for ride comfort....
Hey, its always fun yet challenging to pick the right wheels for your ride. We do have a U.K Distributor and we visit there yearly for our Vossen Owner's Meet to connect with owners.
We do make 19 's as well in a variety of styles and production methods. Flow Formed, Vossen x Work 2 piece wheels and our Vossen Forged Series.
Some examples of mesh wheels below in 20" sizes. SEMA is next week and we are debuting some amazing new designs which might be closer to what you are looking for. There are some amazing choices in this thread.
Many thanks. Very much aware of Prestige. They're pretty active in the UK for HRE and I take note that Vossen are available, too !! I guess I'm tending more towards the retro feel of a 'Fuchs lookalike' or a mesh style of the BBS RS.

Many thanks. It's good to know you think Forgeline are a superior product to HRE....or does this depend on comparing apples with apples or not ? I suspect some might disagree (not least HRE vendors...!!;-))...but this is chiming with some other comments on HRE. As for Forgeline, I guess I'd tend towards their LS3 design which references the BBS RS mesh-style or maybe the MD3P which looks remarkably like Work Wheels' 'Brombacher'. What's your timescale on Forgeline for your 911 ?
Try the sport classics. I love em and they will look sick on irish green!
Apologies for the belated reply to your pics. My car is now, at last, nearing its 8th December build-slot. Was wondering if you could provide further info on your 'Fuchs' rims: eg. offsets front & rear, country of manufacture and/or manufacturer's details, your supplier etc..
The Gen 2 is a bit more problematic because of the ETs Porsche is now using on the rears for the C2/2S...Plus, there seems to be a range of Fuchs-replica manufacturers out there who may or may not adhere to the highest standards. Any kind of steer would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
