How is that red leather holding up? It's beautiful in the photos.
I did that on my Cayenne. 3 years later and it hasn't moved a millimeter.

I have the Skene Design mount.
Easy install. No visible screw holes.
Lots of adjustability to the plate height.
The Skene website has lots of photos. About $50 shipped if I recall correctly.

Sturdy enough, although I avoid parallel parking situations where another driver may tap the bumper. Since the plate is the furthest point, I'm not sure it would survive another car whacking it (although if that happens the plate is the least of my concerns!)

Hope this helps

Thanks, that's cool, too. I found this YouTube video on mounting it:

Just curious, which bracket size did you guys order. I did a search and some posters suggested a one-size up from what is recommended in Skene's website.

Nice video, but I have to say the bracket looks a bit flimsy. In addition, he is trying to avoid drilling holes in his bumper but after he adds those anti rub pads, with dust, sand and vibration I suspect he'll find paint damage after not too long. It certainly won't be a hole.

Clean! Time to put on the plates with the new CA laws in effect! Did you get the medium size bracket?

The plate location can be raised up or down and tilted.

I had the Rho on my 928GTS. Hated it, because it was off center. Replaced it with a Skene and all was good again. When I sold the car, I took off the Skene and installed it on my 991.1 C2S. When I sold that one I moved it to the current TTS. So all in all it's been in use about 7 years. No failures and it's still on the TTS.

The one for the 991.2 C2 is the Skene US / Extra Short. I'll post my pics again here.

I have a 991.2 on order and want to use this mount. Do you know if this mount would allow for use of a decorative type tag frame?

Thanks

Bob

Sure, and I am going to put a frame around mine. I just need to find one that I like. You can see from the photos that it is fully adjustable.

Any simple solution found for the front plate mount for a 991.2 Targa 4 GTS ?
Crazy that none of the manufacturers have come up with something definitive yet or am I missing something ?
