Non-OEM TPMS for 991.2 C2
Hello Wise Ones
I am putting together a set of winter wheels and tires (HRE 19" FF01 and Pirelli Winter Tires) and I am curious if there are any aftermarket TPMS to consider or should I go with the OEM from Suncoast? TireRack doesn't list any when I search by vehicle. I didn't see anything here either about this.
Thanks!

I know this isn't the most helpful answer, as I'm not completely sure how TPMS works, but I got a set of MPSS installed at Discount Tire a few weeks ago and they were able to put in new sensors (not sure if that's the part that gets replaced). For the first few miles my yellow hazard light was on, but then I reset the TPMS system in the PCM and it's worked perfectly since.

I purchased winter wheels/tires from TireRack with TPMS sensors. I put them on the car and the tire pressures show on the multi function display. They are 433mhz tire pressure sensors. Used them for 3 winters, never a problem.

In my personal experience it's best to stick with OEM sensors. Sucks having to replace cheaper knockoffs because they stop working.

I used the Huf Intellisens from TPMS.com on my Forgelines and they work perfectly... Huf makes the OEM sensor so it isn't some cheap knockoff either. Was around $200 for the set plus you can specify black of gunmetal valve stems. Waaaay cheaper than OEM too of course.

I have the RDE011's on my Forgelines they work perfectly ... any 433mhz tpms should be compatible.

If you go to the Tire Rack and spec a set of 19" wheels with Pirelli Sotto Zeroes for a 2017 Carrera C2S, TPMS sensors can be added for $57 per wheel. The wheels, tires, and sensors all seem identical to those that I purchased from them for my previous 2013 base 991.1 C2. Also, Suncoast lists the same TPMS sensor for all 2012 to 2017 911's.
I am planning to install my winter wheels and tires with sensors purchased from the Tire Rack for my previous base 991.1 on my current 991.2S in a few weeks. I don't expect any problems, but only time will tell.
You might call the Tire Rack and ask them about available sensors. Online information is not always complete.
