Another Coolant question
My 2015 991 GTS turned 1 year old and while doing fluids inspection I noticed that the coolant at cold temperature is showing at the minimum level. The warning light has not come on. Here is the question, should I add to show level between MIN and MAX or just leave it alone and not worry until light comes on?

What does the bobber show? Just add distilled water. Add till bobber is in the center. Probably about 12 ounces. The car has over 6 gallons coolant.

I notice same thing in my car - I don't check often, but when I do, it is usually at the min level. Like the OP, I get no warning lights. I usually refill with 50-50 mixture.
For what it's worth, when I bought this up at the dealer, they pressure checked it with no issues and said you don't have to do anything unless you see a warning light.

Having the option to add coolant why not do it the right way. Eventually if you get in the habit of refilling with water every time your coolant goes down by evaporation you will change the ratio. Living in Florida I could go with a higher mix like 60 coolant and 40 water or even 70/30. But I'll stick to Porsche recommendation of 50/50.

I started with a measuring cup adding 100ml of Porsche Coolant and 100ml of Distilled Water. After 600ml the mark floated in the center. After a year in the Miami heat 20 fluid ounces needed to be added to get up to level.
Again, I could have just left it alone but my OCD tells me to be pro-active and no re-acitive.

I suspect it will go back to the "min" marker in a few days. Please report back.
We have over 770 ounces of coolant. So this was about 2.5%.

^^^ Yup, I did just exactly as you did a few months ago and added a few ounces of 50/50 to bring it back up to full. It made me sleep better.
Be sure to get that Betty Crocker measurer back in the cubbard before the boss misses it.

LOL, funny you've mentioned. That's my wife's bleach measuring cup.

My warning came up on the display when I started the car this morning. Took a quick look inside the cap and it looked centered to me. 2k on the clock - surprised to see this so soon.
Took a different car this morning as I didn't have time to deal with it.
Sounds like a splash of distilled water later tonight?

Gave it a splash - about 4 oz moved the bobber over to max so it didn't really need it.
Drive the car 100 yds and display tells me to refill coolant immediately and DO NOT DRIVE ON. Temp gauge is flashing red at 250.
I drove 100 yards and the car hasn't moved for days.
Bad sensor?
