Default Bose fiber optic adapter for 991 generation?

I know there is the NAVTV adapter for the 997 generation Bose stereos that allows aftermarket headunit installation, but does that adapter work for the 991 generation? I've searched everywhere and I can't find anyone who has added a new headunit to a 991 generation Bose system. I'm actually satisfied with the Bose system I have, just wanting a headunit with Iphone/Android integration.

Give crutchfield.com a try.

They normally have everything on hand to order to integrate head units into factory installations.

I'd reach out to 12vnick on this forum, he's very helpful!

Sorry I'm a little late to the party here.

There are no aftermarket adapters available to retain BOSE with an aftermarket head unit on the 991 platforms. Best option is to replace the amplifier with an aftermarket 6-channel. The factory BOSE subwoofer amp can be retained. You'll need a good aftermarket audio shop regardless.
