Kline exhaust for 991
#17
Hi Mike! Email replied
The system normally comes with :
Manifold flange joint gasket/bolts
Center to wing boxes stainless steel clamps
In this case the gaskets got lost somehow. To be sure we will fit them with bolts straight onto the flanges.
System is modular and installation is the same as fitting the oem or any other aftermarket exhaust for this model. No special procedure needed.
Cheers!
Felix

Spent a bit more time in the car today on roads I know (so I know the sound I'm used to on them if that makes sense). The Kline is definitely loud! In a fine, sophisticated way, but loud

Great review! Did you have the top down? How does it sound with the top closed?
Could you share more details on how it sounds with the valves open in different RPM ranges :
- Below 3000 rpms
- Between 3000 and 5000 rpms
- Above 5000 rpms
How much louder is it than PSE. (as a reference my AWE Xpipe is TWICE louder, while being higher pitched and less drony than PSE).
Thanks in advance.

Tomorrow pics with the all new designed 991 Carrera carbon quad tips!
We are very proud of this system. It is a complex piece which really offers high end experience. The silencers are harmonic tuned for that perfect sound. Even with decat/high flow cat manifolds this system will not drone nor have resonance to ruin the ride.

Josh, congrats on finding the perfect system for you! Glad we could be a part of it with the headers haha. Your review is superbly fashioned, and would have expected nothing less my friend!
Felix, kudos on putting out a system warranting such a glowing review! Keep up the good work

Sounds great with top closed - bit quieter obviously but great. Think it would work well on a coupe. Did have top down and sport mode on and revved it out in first gear then closed throttle. Sounded like a machine gun - lovely!
Re the revs, below 3,000 it's kind of a deep VVVVVVV sound. Not resonant but definitely deep. Kind of like a bombing plane. It's nice, but I'd still switch it off on the motorway. As the revs climb the sound becomes more growling and metallic, rising to a race-car scream above 5000.
I'd say it's maybe 50-70% louder than PSE when on, though I find that sort of thing quite hard to judge.
