Wow. Not sure what I was expecting, but this car is really fast, agile, refined and the low end torque was amazing. This was my dads car with 147miles on the clock. I currently own a 997.2 gts coupe pdk, and have been in love with it for the 18 months I have had it. I thought there would be no way a 2017 991.2 s could impress me that much. I thought how could a regular "s" be special like my gts. I could of not been more wrong. It was not "too big" or "disconnected". It actually felt like a super car. There is a clear difference between the 997.2 and 991.2, love them both for different reasons.

if I had to pick between these, I would definitely take your GTS. Think hard before you ever get rid of that car!

Agreed. When you look at value, the 991.2 s optioned out was over $140k. It's not quite twice the car mine is. Overall I'm not sure Porsche could have evolved the "911" brand any better. Love the turbos, they make the car feel very powerful throughout the band.

The 991.1 GTS is a great car. That being said, a base 991.2 will outperform it. That is what progress does. The next generation always outperforms the old. The .2 still has a year or so left in the lime light before it's blown away by the upcoming .2 GTS. And so it goes.
