When I charge my iPhone using the 12 volt cigarette lighter, my radio reception gets really bad. I'll have a nice clear HD radio signal then just static. It happens with both the glove box and center console cigarette lighters. But when I use the USB port in the glove box, the radio is ok.

Mildly annoying but then again, the Germans aren't exactly known for their electronics. My friend used to say that the radio in his Mercedes was made in Mexico - "El Distorto".

I charge my phone all the time without any radio signal interference.

Thanks. Probably my cheap cigarette lighter adapter I bought at Menards. The USB cord is from Apple.
