Default PSE installed BUT....

Love the PSE I just had installed. But now Start/Stop does not work. Does not light up yellow or green. Nothing! Thoughts anyone? I usually turn it off when I start the car anyway, but I want the choice. Well know and respected indie did the work, purchased the system from Suncoast. Everything else is perfect.

You posted a year ago about having issues with that button. Did it ever get fixed?

Did you get a new center switch console with PSE button from Suncoast? The complete unit?

Yes previous "problem" was actually battery under charged. It has been working great since until now. Last time it just showed yellow, not green, now it is not showing anything at all. Yes got center console unit and switch installed.

Maybe needs some sort of dealer programming with the new unit and PSE button??

Tell the "indie" who installed it. Surely they should stand behind their work too. It worked before, now it doesn't. Did you tell them?

Something definitely needs to be coded although I don't know what.

Did your indie do that?

Will be going back on Mon. The indie is very well respected so I do not foresee any problems. Just don't know how this got out w/o being checked.

This-^

The PWIS Laptop has to be used to read-out the configuration of the old switch panel before removal and then it has to be used to code-in the configuration with the addition of PSE. (So saith the workshop manuals.)

I'ts the coding of console. They actually have to reprogram the entire console. Took my porsche tech two times to get it right. He said the programming was tricky since it involved coding through ac unit. Whatever that means.

Just got back from my indie, not happy to see me back at 0845, hey too bad. As EVERYONE here suspected was not coded correctly. They had it coded so that the PSE only went on in Sport+ mode. BUT start/stop, PSE button and spoiler did not work at all. 25 min at the shop did the trick. Everything working and LOVE the sound of the PSE. Just loud enough not to be too obnoxious.

Guzzgreg,

How much did your Indie charge you for the PSE installation? And did you provided the parts or you bought it through them?
