I tossed my second "Entry & Drive" key in a desk drawer after buying my 2015 C2S. That was 20 months ago.
How long will the battery last in an unused key stored well away from the car?
Should I have removed the battery from my extra key stored in my desk drawer?

I left the battery in mine, but I press the lock button on it once every few weeks.
