When you go to your computer and press a button, it turns on. It's what you expect with your car. The reasons Porsche doesn't do an aggressive tune is partly because of reliability and longevity.
I had two cars tuned. My Turbo tune was great, but the tune in my Ferrari sucked. The Ferrari constantly went into limp mode and would surge and stumble. There is always a risk with tuning and the buyer should accept the risk.
For sure if you have issues with your engine and you have a tune, your warranty will be voided (and rightly so).
