OEM Tow Ring?
I've got my first track event coming up and I'd like to have a tow ring for the front and back of my car.
Has anyone found an online source for getting another OEM tow ring? Or advise as to a suitable substitute?

As a 45 year owner of Porsches, 25 year hard core DE guy with over 30 events on my 991, the best thing you can do is go to Sears and get a nice new 8" Craftsman straight-slot screwdriver and put it in your tool kit.
You can use the screw driver to carefully pry off the cover plate for the towing slot in the front.
Use the screw driver as a handle to screw the factory towing eye into the front opening before you leave the house.
Use the screw driver to remove the front towing eye to move to the back of the car, if necessary.
Use the screw driver to remove your license plate to access the rear hole.
Use the screw driver to carefully pry off the cover plate for the rear access hole.
Use the screw driver as a handle to screw in the factory towing eye, etc.
Rinse and repeat.
Since you can't carry the screw driver while on the track, be rest assured that there is one inside the tow truck that will work perfectly.
If you are attending your first event where you will be instructed, none of this is necessary.
If you are attending your first event and you will not have an in-car instructor, I strongly encourage you to purchase the DE Insurance coverage.
P.S. I realize it is your first time, but in over a dozen different Porsches, and over 177 track days, I never needed either a tow eye or the screw driver. Ever.
Unless you have made wheel/tire/mechanical changes to your car since you purchased it, all of the factory stock equipment will get you safely through your first track day - unless you bought someone else's modified car.

No, you don't misunderstand its purpose. You misunderstand what you will be doing at your first track day (unless you are not being instructed at that event, in which case I recommend you also install a roll cage and 6 point harness and race seat, and a fire extinguisher system).
First track days go smoothly and largely without incident for those who are being instructed and listen to their instructor.
But please install the factory supplied took how on the front of your car before you go. Makes it easier to bring your car back to the pits if something does go wrong.
I just don't think you need to spend a whole lot of money for your first event. unless you are attending an event where you will not have an instructor in the car with you.

You never know. I've had a blowout at Pocono as a newer DE student and I made the all-time rookie mistake of running out of gas mid-session at NJMP. (If it happens to you, take my advice and don't admit to it!!!

Install one on the front. If necessary, the tow crew can move it to the back for you.
Have fun!

Suncoast has the crude OEM style, I bought 2 so that I never have to worry about misplacing the one in the frunk (they go in my track box while I am not on the track). Our PCA club requires front and back hooks. You don't want to be the guy digging through the tires (or what ever you run into) to find your front hook, remove it, and then move it to the rear so you can get towed. The extra 10 to 15 minutes that took just came out of everyone's track time - not the popularity you are looking for and not allowed in some clubs
