Default GT3 Front Bumper Conversion on my C2 S - Lets Do This...

Hi all. From the second i bought my 2012 991 C2s (and probably before) i knew that for the car to look perfect for me, i wanted the GT3 front bumper on it. It looks more aggressive and not in the slightest bothered about what it will do to my performance figures (since it is only used on the normal roads)

So i thought i would take you all along for the journey. I have done some research into this, i can't find anybody in the UK who has done it ( I might be the first) although there is a guy in Germany who has done it to his GTS, but when contacting him for details, it was hard to get anything solid out of him, all i really took from it is that the brake ducts and middle section need to be modified. Fair enough.

So as i write this post, i have so far received the front bumper (genuine Porsche GT3 unit) and all of the appropriate fixings & mounts.

Cost so far

£1650 for the front bumper in used but excellent condition from Germany.
£900 straight for plastic moulds & mounts

Here are a couple of pictures of what i am working with right now.

And this is the car as it currently sits (the day i bought it)

So the car is booked into a Porsche specialist, and it is they who will do the modifications, i will post their details on here pending successful fitting (in case anybody else is thinking about doing this in future, i suspect as the price of these cars lower, the more accessible projects like this will become)..

I will also be doing a full write up on our website, which will be update often, so you can follow the project here also - http://www.diagnostic-world.com/page...era_262701.cfm

Thats it for now... more updates to follow and more pictures showing the modifications also..

Looking forward to how it turns out. Are you adding anything to the back (i.e. rear diffuser, wing, etc)?

I think it'll look great. Many have done it (including myself) on 997s, so it shouldn't be much different for the 991.
