Hate to Rain on the Parade

I traded a 13 991.1 C2S for the 991.2 C2S and there is no going back. The .2 is superior at the low end and the top end. The noise of the .1 gives the false impression of better performance at higher rpm but in actual fact the .2 is the car up front kicking butt.
SPASM and the Sport Pack are a must to max out the performance of the C2S.

Couldn't agree more.

2017 C2 was the vehicle. Interesting to note, Porsche is not selling many of the S models. Incremental price increase is not worth it, according to several member of the Paul Miller Team.

However, with Turbo cars it's more about the Turbos.

Add me to the agree.
I have a 991.1C2S with Sport PASM and PSE and love it.
Having spent some time at the track with a 991.2C2SI know for sure my car is a bit slower, and is no more exciting to drive at high speeds at the track. The new PSE sound is sweet at full chat too.
That said, I won't move on until I can sample a 991.2 with a powerkit or GTS trim.

Both the 991.1 and 991.2 are great 911s. You cannot go wrong with any 911s, really. For me, I know the 991.2 is quicker than the 991.1. I test drove the 991.2 hoping the get one, I didn't like the sound. Too much hissing and spooling from the intakes. I settled for a 991.1 GTS and I'm now happy as a clam.
If I did ended up with a 991.2, my to-dos would be exhaust, DPs, tune, and eliminate the intake sound symposer. The 991.2 will never sound as good as the 3.8 991.1, but those mods should help.
I came from powerful BMWs - F10M5/F80M3. I don't really need more power, now with less power I have a ton of fun.

Yes indeed, as that allows you to avoid stopping for lunch, or having to carry the extra weight of two eating utensils. I look for 911 cross-country times to fall dramatically now that the Spork Package is available.

Hahaha undoubtedly so. I don't have the spork package since it's wasn't available on the .1, but am looking for aftermarket sporks to cut my cross-country times. Once I find one that looks sufficiently stock for my tastes, I'd imagine there'll be no .2s w/o the spork package that could keep up on the longer drives.

Test drove a 991.2 and ran, didn't walk!!!
While the performance was there, there was next to no induction noise and the stock exhaust was way to quiet for my liking.
Just got home from a "just because" 50-mile run with our 991.1 GTS and every time I turn on the PSE, I know I made the right choice. Not a fan of turbo motors and this large displacement NA engine, does it for me.
To each their own...

To bad engineers couldn't merge the characteristics of both into one. I bet a hybrid will occplish that in the next generation. Low end torque from an electric motor accompanied by a high reving N/A. 992 will be the one to own. Marketing at its best. Open up the wallets gents.
