Default Wheel locks for your factory wheels?

I've always had wheel locks on all my previous cars. Do you put them on yours? Any brand that you would suggest? I've always used McGard or RAD in the past but it doesn't seem to be a popular thing for the 911's.

I got wheel locks on standard... One of the five wheel bolts have a different head on them and the socket for them is in the frunk tool set.

Maybe that's why no one ever chatters about them. Thanks for the help.

Most likely your dealer put them on for you as a gift.

I checked. I do have them. Doesn't everyone?

I'm sure I even had them on the 996 way back.

I hate wheel locks... First thing I do is take them off and replace them with regular lug bolts.

There not going to slow down any thief more than a few seconds, but are a big pita when doing your own wheel or brake work.

But yes, every modern Porsche I've owned has come with wheel locks without ever showing up on an option sheet.

I once had a horrible experience with an OEM wheel lock key breaking on a bmw 550. Ended up costing me about 200 bucks for them to grind it off.

Nope. I picked my car up at the factory and they were on there.

I had them without ordering on my two 991's. Perhaps it is standard with wheel upgrades beyond base. My first had Carrera Classic and the second with Platinum Satin wheels. First modification was to remove all lugs and locks and replace with titanium lugs.

They have been standard on every 911 I have owned back to 1987.

Be careful removing the wheel locks, especially with power tools. Hear they are not well made and can strip easily.

Center locks are very cool but they make everything so unnecessarily complicated.
