Slight issue w/ AWE tips

Lack of R&D by these aftermarket companies. You have end users here doing it for them. Think about it, R&D for these small companies usually consists of someone having a donor car brought in for a few days of research in hopes of getting a free exhaust or other mod. On top of it, tolerances for these pieces have to be very strict. Doubt that's the case here. Other than being a bigger diameter, I'd put up the quality of the PSE tips to any of these other brands. So glad I never opened up this can of worms. Good luck. These Dundon guys on the GT3 forum seem to know what they're doing. They had told me they were going to be working on some 991 street exhaust upgrades in the future. Not sure if that will ever happen or not. Or just stick with these "full" exhaust aftermarket options.
The tip/bumper spacing problem was present on my stock tips long before I installed the AWE. Hung down a half inch or more on the left than the right. Yes, still talking about the exhaust .
Only after I became knowledgable of the joints and bolts of the PSE was I able to correct the issue.
The engineering of the AWE exhaust is price accurately for what you get. It's not perfect but you get what you pay for. You also don't get what you don't pay for. It's not an Akra exhaust. Or a PSE for that matter. But if you are looking to turn heads with booming noise at a cheap price AWE is for you.

I think the AWE product is a 'good' quality product and a high value for the price. The company also operates a very customer focused business that is willing to work with you on issues. My experience anyway.

I'm going to stick w/ the AWE in the meantime but I will be replacing the AWE tips as it is bothering me a lot. I tried doing it myself but my dealer screw the tips on so tightly it is close to impossible for me to loosen one of the tips. Also doesn't help I don't have a lift to get my *** under there.

100% on the point. For the most bang for the buck, the AWE is spot on. However, I've seen some Akra systems and they are truly a work of art. I could place them on my mantle. The sound is also damn good, but the HUGE limiting factor is the price for most people.

Hope the OP gets it fixed/worked out. They do have pretty good customer service from what I've heard/seen. As for me...I guess the search continues!

Happy in knowing this statement isn't applicable to us. I wish ya could come pay us a visit to tour our facility to meet our laser scanner, benders, 6-axis robot arm, and get lost in our farm of laser-cut fixtures, among other things. If you're ever out this way please stop by!
Neuro: the band clamp attached at the valve section and the x-pipe -- loosen and rotate that section to suit.

I want to thank all the help regarding this minor issue, especially Larry. I had my dealer replace the AWE tips back to the stock ones. I prefer stock tips personally. Nothing against AWE or anyone who disagrees! Now back to the stock look & couldn't be happier
