Default Cab owner question...

As a I have had a few Porsches in my past, but never a Cab, I was wondering if roof creaking is normal as is body creaking when going up a ramp or driveway at an angle. I know the body creak is usually normal but just recently I am know hearing in from my Cab roof. If any other owners can chime in I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

2015 C2 cab, no creaking. I have a slightly downhill street in front of my house, which turns into my uphill driveway with a 10% grade, and then into my level garage. All this in the space of about four car-lengths. No creaking.

This is my second 991 Cab. No creaking so far. I've got 14xxx miles on this one and it's solid as a brick. One thing I love about the 911.

Good luck-

Only 4th P car Cab, all had some form of creaking. I noticed with my 991, sometimes the top doesn't close right. By reaping the top and closing it, this usually corrects the issue. Or, check your wind stop. That may be loose and creaking.

Interesting that some creak and some Cab roof's don't. I had mine for 4 months before the creaking started and have no idea what caused it to start. Crazy, but this is the only reason I was worried about buying a Cab. Love the top down but a little annoying with the creaking. Hopefully the dealer can solve it.

I think it's "buyer beware" with a Cab of any kind. If it doesn't creak at first, and you have some silent months or years, consider yourself lucky. But at some point it's going to make some noise, probably sooner than later. The dealer might make a feeble attempt or two at finding and fixing it, but ultimately the squeaks and rattles will win. If it's going to drive you crazy, go with a coupe.

No structural creaking when going over dips. I had some very high frequency rattling on my back right wind deflector and some creaking on the driver window (top down windows up). Very rare though. Top and windows are down 90% of the time in CA.

2012.5 and 2014 cabs. No noise from the roof. (I've had other noise issues but not from the roof.)

Well my top got so bad it was not even creaking, but it felt like the roof was not connected. I opened and closed it a few times but to no avail . It was knocking overtime I went over a bump . Took it to the dealer this morning and hope they can solve to!. I know there are so many moving parts to the Cab so hopefully they will figure it out. Thanks everyone for there advice. Nothing in life is perfect! Ask Stephen Curry, you take the good with the bad...............
