Top of door panel loose covered by 4 year / 50,000?
Hi all,
I just got my first Porsche a 2013 C2S, I've had the car for about 4 days now and just noticed that the door panel pretty loose at the top of the panel closest to the window and door lock indicator. I'm not sure how this happened but I know I wasn't at fault. I'd rather not remove the door panel myself since I just got the car but I do still have some time left on the warranty so I was wondering if that would cover it. It's really bothering me
Here's a few pictures
Slightly lifted and loose..has a lot of play.<br/>
Fit more flush with the plastic and not raised as much.

Both my door panels were replaced under warranty, 2014 991, for a squeaking sound when pushed upon. I was told that sometimes the doors' glue has failed and so both panels were replaced.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I've discovered mine is loose on the driver's side, squishes in a bit when I ride with the window down and my arm on the window sill. Never thought this could be glue or a clip, looks like I'll be cashing in some of that precious CPO

This exact same thing happened to driver's side door panel on my 2012 991 C2S. The dealership replaced the whole door panel under warranty. They said the clips that hold the panel onto the door had broken.

For those curious about how the door trim panel might come loose, or what clips might be suspect, check out my previous blog post on removing those very same trim panels. Includes a video.... ;-)

I purchased a 2013 C2 a couple of months ago and had the same issue on my driver's door. I took the car in to the dealer and they took care of it under warranty without issue. They replaced the whole door panel. In fact, they went ahead and replaced the passenger side panel as well since they saw that the problem was starting on that side but had not gotten as bad, yet. I hadn't even noticed it.
The nice part was that I had purchased the AWE Tuning wind diffusers prior to this as part of my "New Car Accessory Purchase Blitz" that always seems to happen when I get a new car but had not installed them yet because mine was one of the cars that required removing the door panels. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, I asked my service advisor (whom I have know for a few years) nicely with a gift card to his favorite restaurant if he could get the AWE pieces installed while the door was apart.
So, it all worked out since the diffusers make a huge difference.

uhhh...didn't even know they were supposed to be flush. Mine has been that way since day 1, raised above the plastic. I thought that's how it came from the factory. I have it on both doors. Will be fixing it when I'm doing the 4 year service

It's a common problem especially on 2013's and yes it's covered 100% under warranty if your dealer tells you anything different use another dealer or ask for the factory rep if they refuse coverage!

You made me go take a look at my car after seeing this.
My 13 C4S is nice and tight/flush.
Hope it's a simple fix.
