lug nuts and bolts are so 1905. May as well have them made out of pot metal. It's all about the CL now. :D

There's a Rennlister doing these too. Might get a set when he perfects the black metal finish, like the 991 currently uses.

Just...why?

Less rotating mass. Believe it or not my 1986 porsche 944 turbo came stock with titanium luggs. There was an option for magnisium on the cup cars.

Recently purchased a set of Carrerra Classics that came with spacers. Will be needing 5mm longer lug bolts up front and 15mm for the rear. LexVan, can you PM me the RLr's contact info. TIA 77tony

ACERLug Superlite Titanium wheel lug nuts and Titanium wheel lug bolts are not only corrosion resistant but also much stronger and 50% lighter than steel lug nuts which results in a drastic decrease in rotational mass of the wheel. Lower weight in rotating parts such as lug bolts is over 8 times more effective than in a stationary part. Hence a 5 pound reduction in rotating mass is similar to removing 40 pounds anywhere else in the car. This decrease in rotational mass results in quicker acceleration and lower fuel consumption. The weight savings when using lighter lug nuts or bolts is equivalent to the weight savings achieved when using lighter wheels. In today's high performance applications where lightweight wheels are a must, why use standard steel lug nuts when you can use stronger and lighter ACERLug Titanium wheel lug nuts and Titanium wheel lug bolts?

Assuming this is true, why is it not standard on Porsches? PAG is always trying to reduce weight and improve fuel efficiency.

I had TiKore locks on my previous car since the OEM locks stripped rather easily. I didn't get the entire set of blots though because I think $800 for the set was ridiculous. I will say they are like pieces of art, very well made product and great customer service.

Appears the co. will be mfg in only standard length and are still 4 months out. For close to the same $$ one could order standard length, +5mm and +10mm from ACER. T

I did not know that. I guess there was not enough bang for the buck. Margin trumps small benefits.

As these car move to more main streem. I don't think the end users care than much. Plus they require a bit of maintenance like a compound designed for dissimilar metals as they tend to seize.

I have to say though. They are feather light. Almost fake feeling in your hand. Can't imagine how much lighter magnisium is.
