PDK reprogam for 991.1
A bit of background. My wife and I use our 2013 991.1 (base) very extensively. She drives to work on weekdays, while I drive it to the track and on weekends. The car is a PDK because she never drove stick and values the convenience of the automatic gearchange.
Whenever I drive it I use the manual mode and paddleshifters. It works very well! However, my wife drives in the auto mode where the car severely lacks in torque and punch, as the factory PDK programming prioritizes fuel economy and short-shifts all the time. This is even in Sport mode (we don't have the Chrono, hence no Sport+).
Now the wife is getting increasingly tired of the slow and unresponsive nature of the car. So my question: is there an aftermarket solution for reprogramming the PDK to shift at a higher RPM (say, 5K or at least 4K)? Thanks in advance.

Have you used the sport mode button ? That should liven things up a bit.

I have been experimenting with 2014 4S with PDK. I have had the transmission reflashed and changed a solenoid by Porsche dealer. Works for a little while and intermittent hesitation eventually comes back.
What I did was install the sprint booster the accelerator pedal. At first, the car was bucking like a bronco, but slowly, the adaptive software adjusted, and a lot of herky-jerky went away.
However, I noticed that the jerkiness is significantly reduced when I allow the car to properly warm up before driving off. I read somewhere on the forum that by blipping the gas pedal after about 40 seconds on cars first start up until the RPMs drops below 1,000 reduces this problem.
This warm up sequence works for me and the car feels a lot more responsive at the lower RPM range.
Be curious to know others experiences.

To the OP, if your "wife" doesn't like how Hans shifts when you put it in auto, tell "her" to use the paddles.

If you press more on the pedal, it will shift @5k rpm.
Used to 5.7 V8, I feel the 3.8 also "weak " under 2500rpm but 991.1 is pretty fast anyway.
My DD is a BMW M3 F80 very torquey... The 991.1 needs only to be "whipped" a bit.
