placebo effect?
Top Gear published their 'first drive' review on their website and said: "As much as we love Porsche’s PDK double clutch gearbox - it’s still probably the best in the business - the company has outdone itself with the newly revamped seven-speed manual. This is, without little doubt, the best manual gearbox I have ever used. Smooth, quick, precise, it’s like Porsche has reinvented it all over again."

pretty strong statement from somebody who was- ahem, duped by Porsche?
really? Porsche highlighted a revamped manual in the GTS to journalists, who then wrote about- and PRAISED it- only to have actually made it up all along? surely that's what you're suggesting with the "placebo effect" business? that porsche made up a BS story?

man- you really gotta be smart to discuss Porsche's online these days. how the heck would i know that Porsche is involved in a conspiracy to exaggerate component updates?

sheesh.

I can't be bothered to quote Traffics53's last quote, however; Harris's reference to "drop" eluded to the difference between SPASM and PASM (10mm vs 20mm). As far as "feel" is concerned - it's subjective by its very nature. On that I'm sure we can agree.

I'm amused that this rabbit hole is so deep. Congratulations Traffic53. It's like a 991 time warp
Was just highlighting the main word of my post. Shout, whisper, whatever. Kind of like the color of car you choose.

I was merely pointing it out to the ones who keep repeating misinformation. This has been going on for a long time.

A new set of tires, tire pressure, new car vs one with 10K miles can all feel different.

It's a GTS with prettier seats. I really like my seats.

No, the GTS is a 50th without the pretty seats and chrome. The 50th came first.

And cool retro-green instrument lighting. And the best 991 wheels extant.
