That's always been complimentary with the 3 VWs and 3 Porsches I've bought over the years. I assume it's still complimentary with Porsche. Are other manufactures now charging for it?

never heard of such....three cars purchased at a Porsche dealer over the last 12-17mo and a full tank was made available. whether or not it was somehow embedded in the price would be hard to tell, but it could be.

I stick with Porsche for the first free tank of gas tank. Well worth it. Hyundai refused, so I spent an extra $100K for a free tank.
Hawc, the question is ... Who pays for the gas? Husband or wife?

I got two free tanks of gas. One in Stuttgart at my European Delivery and the other at the dealership once it arrived back in the states.
Gosh...I feel like I got a good deal from Porsche....scratching head.

I bought 3 new cars in Q4 2015. A Ford, a Honda and a Nissan. All came with full tanks. Even the Toro snow blower I bought in February came with gas.
In the USA, it's not complimentary, it's built into the standardized delivery & destination fee.

True that a full tank is included in the vehicle price on ALL cars in US.
So anyone thinking that their Porsche dealer is treating them 'special' because the tank was full, not so much. You paid for that gas.

I've had some sketchy dealerships and used car lots refuse to pay for gas, and a few try to put regular gas in a 91 octane vehicle.
If you're spending Porsche money, and they don't offer a full tank of gas, go somewhere else. God knows what other areas in which they're cutting corners.

My friend just bought a Honda Pilot, and they insisted on filling her tank. Also I think in the post purchase survey, they ask about delivery with a full tank.
Obviously, it's not about the money, it's about the principal.

I did buy the car because unbeknownst to them (believe it or not) it was a great deal. Bottom line of these type of pocket padding fees is that everyone should refuse to pay them. Doc fees, etc. The dealer discounts the car by those fees they try to charge, then I pay the agreed upon price 'out the door.'
