991 GTS - Greetings from Germany!
Hey guys,
I've been lurking for a while, but since I have now covered the first 1k miles in my new 991 GTS 2 I figured it's time to say 'Hi!'. I live in Hamburg, Germany, and probably like for many of you, it was a childhood dream of mine to drive a Porsche one day.
I got the car a month ago (just 3 months old, with 2.5k miles on the clock), it is my first Porsche and I am simply blown away. I love the sound, the handling and the emotion. Driving it is not simply getting from A to B, it's a special event, every single time. I test drove the 991.2 before, but the turbo engine was too similar to my BMW Z4 sDrive 35i (with tuning) for my taste, and I did not like the sound. When I then got the chance for the 991.1 GTS I did not hesitate, and I could not be happier.
Last week I was on a race track (Padborg, Denmark) for the first time ever, boy that was fun. I'll spend a lot more time there in the future, that's for sure. Here is a little video in case you are interested (sorry for the weird angle, the mount apparently doesn't like G-forces... also, we were required to get off the throttle for a bit on the straight because of volume regulation laws):

And here is the car:
Now a question, what kind of app / gadget do you use to track lap times on a closed track? I have not tried the included Sport Chrono function, does it work well?
Greetings from Hamburg!
Markus

Very nice. Now I wish the Black LED were available to me back in 2014.

Congrats and enjoy. I was on the same boat. Was planning to wait and get the 991.2 but decided on a 991 GTS instead. It is one of the few decisions I made that I didn't regret. That was a nice round you had.

Looks great. White on black is always a good look.

But I have to say that white was made for the 991 (and the 997).
