Awesome. Watch the video. The detail is amazing, and they even built a PDK.

I don't get it. Is it supposed to look like it's been in accident? If it's made up of lots of customer parts, why doesn't it look like it fits together properly?

I guess they want it to maintain that Lego look

I think it looks cool -

It's a technic set, so it's probably got all sorts of interesting inner workings. They are more about the mechanicals than about fidelity. The normal sets use moulded special pieces these days to make stuff look good. Unlike when we were kids and curved surfaces had to be made by stepping bricks.

It's cool, but the design could have been a lot smoother. The hood panel is just ugly. It might be worth buying just for the build manual inside.

They could have at least made it better looking while maintaining the Lego look. The large gapping holes next to the headlights are an eyesore. I'm sure the mechanics are pretty cool tho.

I think it's amazing they were able to get the mechanics, but agree it looks like an eyesore. Plus I'm so sick of PDK. Maybe if they have a 911 R with a cleaner look I'd pick one up

I have this set. It was a hoot to build and it's pretty cool to have on display. The functional wing and motor are nice features.

+1. the "grand prix racer" is a great set and fun build. can't wait until they release the RS june 1. lego does amazing job with the technic product line. the "24 hours race car" is another great set. these are quite addictive once you get going.

I would've preferred a classic LEGO design with specialty pieces but still very nice!

I agree - the innards are cool, but they could have worked on panel fit to be better while maintaining the essence of Lego (it's not like it's meant to be a 1:17!)

The packaging incl. manual is terrific: better than the real thing
