Steering Support Limited Drive ON
I installed the SmartTop yesterday, after much trouble getting the harness plug to fit. SmartTop works great. However, and I'm hoping this is not related to the install, but I am not getting a warning message when I start the car "Steering Support Limited Drive On."
Any input or suggestions?

It seems unlikely but you should probably remove the SmartTop to see if it clears the fault, also file a support ticket with Mod4Cars.
Not sure if you are still under warranty or CPO, if you are you should definitely remove it before taking the car to the dealership.
If you have an OBD II reader it might make sense to read the actual fault codes from the car to determine what the source of the fault might be.
another remedy might be to disconnect the battery...
good luck

Thanks, Larry. I deactivated the SmartTop but that didn't change anything. Next thing will be to disconnect the SmartTop.
I don't have an OBDII reader.
I'll try the battery disconnect. Thanks.

UPDATE! did a google search, apparently someone on 6Speedonline had this (or similar fault) recommended fix was to turn on ignition (not clear if engine also started or not), then turn the steering from full lock to full lock 4-5 times ... fault should clear apparently.

After retrying everything, turning the steering wheel to hard lock in each direction fixed it. I must not have locked hard enough the first time.
If it happens to you, make sure you turn in each direction hard and hold it there for a moment. Only took turning once in each direction.

Just got the Steering Limited Support Drive On message. This was after an afternoon of dicking around with the Burmester Jukebox, trying to import music files from USB port (engine not started-i.e., draining battery). Of course I had just figured it out when a Battery Low Start Engine message appeared, and no, the battery didn't have enough juice to turn the engine over. Damn.
Put the charger on start, she fires up. Okay-phew. Kill engine, switch charger to 2A charge, figured I'd leave it overnight.
Found this thread, yea! Had to start car to turn wheel. Three full turns in each direction and ye Steering Limited Support error cleared.
Car has PSP, '14 c4s. Wondering if the error is power related?
Thank you and cheers to Larry Cable and Skywaterbanjo.

Worked for me too! Just to reiterate one of the important tips above: when you turn the steering wheel to each end lock, hold it firmly for a second or two. You'll feel it give just a little bit more. Do that each direction.
(I didn't hold it firmly enough the first time and jumped through a few more hoops before trying the suggested "hold" above that cleared the fault.)
Thank you Rennlisters!
