Searched the forums but little info. How effective are clear tinted windows in blocking uva/b? Worth the coin in protecting the leather?

I had our C2s windows tinted with a ceramic film that had almost no tint. The drop in interior temp was noticeable. I had my wife's MDX windshield and front side windows done with the same material (3M IIRC) and although the "tint" looks clear the drop in interior temp was *very* noticeable. If temp control is your target I think it is worthwhile. Glass already filters out the UV stuff so no gain there.

I tint all my cars. Ceramic, lightest I can go. It does lower the temperature, a lot. Air conditioning works really well.
I also had my mom's lexus done. She is 75 and does not like tint. I had the ceramic clear put on her front windows. She can't tell. The UV reduction is what I was looking for.
A clear tint on your front windshield may not be legal? In Ontario it is not legal. You can have a banner at the top, but nothing else. Check your local laws if your concerned with breaking them?
