Default Wheel arches - rock chips

My 911-50th has 7000 miles on it, and the rear arches are rather stone chip damaged already. The plastic cover is now extremely rough and the paint around it has a lot of chip marks.

Would this be covered by warranty like my X5 was in the same area?

Highly doubtful. Considered regular wear and tear.

That is why most remove factory stone guard and apply Xpel or alike to cover a wider area. Those hips are set up for stone chips

I'm in a similar situation. Any harm in removing the factory stone guards and adding a clear bra with chips already on the arches?

Not a warranty item. Are you running spacers?

I just had some work done to my car and had the Xpel film reapplied. For the rocker I had them apply starting at about even with the door handle height straight across the panel to wrap around the door jam and over to the wheel wrapped again. This piece included a strip at the bottom that ran along the bottom of the door into the front wheel well. I also added a small piece to the underside of the rear fender area to protect from rocks coming up from the rear wheel. This will really help along with the full hood, front bumper and front fenders.
Paint correct that area and wrap it and drive.
