991.2 Wheel Pics
#16
Just a quick point for those looking at the 20" Carrera S wheels on the 991.2, while they look the same as the 991.1 they actually are a little different. One difference is the lug nuts on the 991.2 are where the wider spokes are compared to the 991.1 which has the lug nuts where the skinner spokes are. There are other minor differences when looking at them as well... maybe someone can post pictures of both.

Black car is 991.1 and Graphite Blue is 991.2.

From what I read and this might have been mentioned already the offsets are different between the 991.1 & 991.2 which kind of sucks for me if I ever upgrade being I have an extra set of the Carrera S wheels as a winter set. I can't say for sure but I don't think you could swap wheels from one to the other.

these wheels look the most " mehh " on configurator and even pics like this ....but in person, to me, they are spectacular... in this std grey color ...even tactilly , like the grooves between the silver and grey parts of the spoke faces..they give graphic illusion via simpler open design and swept inward spoke concavity as if they were 22 inches in diameter vs the 991.2 with the 20 inch old- school meshy RS style wheels next to it in the showroom whose design of course also blocks more of the view of the brake rotors and calipers inside .....not to mention 5 seconds vs 5 minutes to wipe off brake dust between the two .

I agree---PCCB
I have the RS Spyder Wheels. They are great looking when they are clean. Well, it seems they are only clean just after washing the car. In 50 miles the sheen goes away and the wheels have that dull boring look again. In 150 miles the dust is thick.
I think any wheel is going to do that unless you opt for the PCCB's.
If I could doing it again I would spend the $$$$ on the PCCB.
Now I am in process of trying to find a brake pad that will stop the car, throw less (or very little) dust and not destroy the rotors.
IMO the PCCB's are a great option.
If you don't want to spring for the PCCB get wheel that is easy to clean because, if you are anything like myself you will be

I used to think $8K was not an essential part of a 911 build---not now---now I could not imagine having a 911 without them----

After seeing his pics I changed my order and went with his wheels on a GT Silver Cab.
