I had to put the top up due to some minor sprinkles, and decided to make a video of the rubbery creak sound from my Targa lid.
It's not easy to hear in the video, the road noise overpowers it, but it's still reasonably prominent.
The annoying thing is that it never, ever stops until the car does. It's this constant balloon rubbing sound. Ugh!
Anyway, the video:

Conditions: smooth road, ~70mph in normal mode with PSE on.
I might try again with PSE off to see if I get less drone and more creak in the video.
So seriously...nobody else has this creaking in their Targa?

I have it quieted down now except for the rubbery creak. I'm glad to hear it isn't just me, I was concerned my car had a "version 1.0" bug that newer Targas don't have.

That was a big reason they fell out of favor and quit making them in the early 90's, and the technology although better is not 100% rattle proof on most any sports car. Road condition plays a big factor as well, but when you want an open roof car, be it vert or targa, noise is always a trade off.
