Probably correct. If there's a "white film" it's been over sprayed. The can states to wipe off, and reapply.

I saw a slight white film in a couple of places as it was drying. I just sprayed a little more in those spots and it went away.

I did lift my car at each corner (floor jack) and turn the wheel as I applied. I guess I took about 10 minutes a wheel, being careful to get all surfaces coated. I applied it heavily. The product will run onto your tires. I was worried about it showing but I just wiped it off the tires as it appeared and it left no marks on the tires.

Best luck to anyone that uses it. I was a non believer but it actually worked for me.

If you do use the product. Follow the instructions. I had a few water spots in a few places on my wheels. The spray does not remove water spots.

Wal Mart in my area does not have it. I ordered 4 more cans on Amazon. Amazon gets $13.84 for one can or $19.99 for two cans. I bought 2 two packs.

Not sure about the over sprayed comment, could be but, I sprayed it pretty heavily.

I've also found that you don't necessarily have to spray it on thick in any one area. Just make sure you get good coverage and don't miss any spots. After a few applications, you'll get a routine down and be able to get it very evenly spread.

Haven't tried the armour all.
I about to get my 991.2 C2 in a few weeks and I was planning to have the wheels nano coated (just the wheels) when they do the clear bra. Any thoughts on whether its worth it? It will cost $100/wheel including barrels.
Thanks!

I do this too. But, I just lift with the floor jack at the rear until the front wheel touches off the ground. Then do the whole side at once, and dress the tires with Aerospace 303.

Do it. But that price is kinda high. Should be closer to about $200. A syringe of Optimum Gloss Coat coasts about $60 retail, so it's an easy enough DIY. The key is to make sure the wheels are spotless, and wiped down with denatured alcohol prior to coating.

Thanks Lex! I'll try to negotiate it down based on the other work I am having done. I am relying on the detail place to squeeze me in whenever the car arrives so it can be done right away, so I may not push too hard on the cost. Glad to hear it will work well!

Nano coatings do not repel brake dust though. Good for repelling water and rain/dirt.

Question for the people using the ArmorAll product. Are you using their Wheel Protectent or Outlast Brake Dust Repellent?

My car is only a couple weeks new so I am being **** about keeping in clean. So a continuation about the Armor All Brake Dust Protectant.

I wiped my wheels with a micro fiber cloth. I found amazingly little brake dust.

Then, because I did not want wash my car and redo my wheels I dusted the car with a California Duster and proceeded to wipe it down with a (Adams) detailer.

The areas behind both the front and rear wheels were nasty black. I am ASSuming I was looking at brake dust on the body of the car. The areas I cleaned in front of the wheels or anywhere other than behind....were well....not black.

So, it looks as though there is no getting away from the brake dust with out a pad change.

Armor All does a good job on the wheel, but I'll be damned if I will apply it to my car body.

I believe these are actually the same product, just Armor All is now branding stuff under Outlast moniker. See it says "New Name" on the sticker on the top of the Outlast can. The stuff I've used in the Protectant.

Could be. And the Outlast is an 11 ounce can as opposed to a 7 ounce can. So it will defiantly out last the smaller can.
