Does your car rattle more with the 3.4 exhaust tips? I too installed the same xpipe and find that the exhaust tips rattle when idle and rattles more when i turn on the a/c.

Yea my 3.4 tips rattle and I tq them to 15lb. I am currently not running tips on my 991 but have some 997s tips on the way. Just trying to rule out what the culprit is.

No did not hear a rattle. But the oil temp in 10deg. hotter and the idle feels different.

PDK transmission or manual? There are other threads complaining about buzzing/rattle at idle with 3.4L PDK cars. Let us know, I'm curious about this exhaust too. Love how easily it goes on and would be easy to go back to stock if you weren't happy with it. I take it the rear bumper does not need to be removed?

I've read about pdks rattling/vibration but I have a 7spd. I'm pretty sure it's the tips, when I remove them there is no rattle. I have 997s tips on the way, hopefully they won't rattle.

bumper does not have to come off. SUPER EASY if you have the tools.

Just sold mine, no problems no vibe SharkWerks has a great product. Just wanted to try the AWE for now but it's a bunch more quiet than the SharkWerks.

Put the Sharkwerks x pipe on my base 991 with MT and it is really good - great sound, no rattle - dealer installed it for me for less than one hour of labor. Also put on Fabspeed tips which are garbage.

I installed a sharkwerks in my 3.4 MT. Install wasn't bad. No rattle, sounds pretty good. Actually not as loud as I expected, but sounds good. No highway drone.

How far do you clamp the tips on the exhaust pipe?

S4one - didn't realize that 997 exhaust tips fit our 991 3.4s. What version are you using? What part number?

I took a picture of the tips before taking them off, and just visually got them back to that. They are pretty adjustable. I don't have a measure of how far they are on the pipe.
