I am taking delivery of a 2012 Carrera S at the end of the month, and I was checking out the (pathetic) tire selection I'd have for autocrossing and tracking this summer.

I accidentally left off the S on one of expeditions into tirerack.com and found that my favorite tires, the excellent BS RE-71R is available if I buy a set of 19's spec'd for a non-S 991.

Will this work? Any other autocrossers out there? What do you all do for tires.

I don't mind PZ's or PSS's for track days, but they're not good for Autox, IMO.

Yes...19's will work & legal for even stock or street class.
Lots of better tire options, also...including A7's!
