Default Thought on this 911

Hi,
I am new in the forum and thinking to buy this 911.

http://www.pearsonauto.com/VehicleDe...-CA/2694086003

Carfax is clean and it is still under warranty. I almost deal with dealer but today a porsche dealer told me do not buy a porsche from non porsche dealer because carfax doesnt show everything and if the cqr has damage at axle you will headech.
Porsche dealers doesnt pffer inspection before buying.
Is there any place i can trust for inspection?

Thank you

The Porsche dealership is just trying to scare you, and are saying that (only buy from a P car dealership) so they can sell you a car instead.

If someone, anyone, won't allow you a 3rd party, unbiased inspection, don't buy. Major red flag. Inspect before purchase. Not after. Trust & verify. Just like the UN.

Tell us more about your specific location in California. Someone here can recommend a good indy shop or trusted dealership for a PPI.

Please read the "Hot For Sale" sticky up top. You'll see many great cars for sale. Many pre-vetted. And you'll start to learn the market from a price perspective.

Be patient. There's no rush.

Everything that Lex said, plus the car you're looking at is overpriced. It has a $99,525 MSRP.

Doing a quick search at base model 2013/2014 Carrera's, many can be had with similar options and under 15K miles in the low to mid $60's. Many at Porsche dealers AND CPO warranties.

Even better deals on 2012.5's when the 991.1's were introduced. All the exact same cars!

I'd keep looking unless you can pick this car up for $60-63K and its in mint condition if you REALLY like this one.

Porsche dealers do PPIs. Tell yours if they won't do a PPI for you, they won't be getting your service business post-purchase.

There are many base 991 Carreras available with CPO in your price range. Definitely shop some more before pulling the trigger.

Thanks for your replies.
I am in Palo alto. Here there are 3-4 porsche dealers. I called them and they have said they dont do ppi for another dealer car.
I offered 61K but i dont want to buy without inspection.

I looked this car yesterday from monterey porsche
https://monterey.porschedealer.com/p...88850/info.php

And asked for a price. They only doscounted $500 and offered me 71K which is overpriced i think.

Please suggest me a service for ppi

Thanks

I am in palo alto. I called the dealerships arpund here and all of them says they dont do ppi.
I will offer 61K if i could figure out inspection.
What do you think about this car for 61K?

I couldnt find any certified base 2014 911 with low mileage under 70K. And the cheapest 2014s are around 68K with over 20K miles.

I looked to this car yesterday and their best offer is 71K.

Could anybody suggest me a good service for inspection?

Thanks

I am from Palo Alto near San Francisco.
I am thinking to offer 61K.
What dou you think? 61K will be a good deal or is just ok?

I have talked 3 porsche dealership around here and all of them says we dont do PPI.
I am always looking to the pre owened car through porsche web site but around 67-68K i could find cars over 20000 miles and low mileages are around 72-74K.

Actually i want a car with sport exhaust but couldnt find any good deal.

This will be my first 911.

Thank You

You can always add a Sports Exhaust later, it will run around $3000-$3500 (installed). You may want to consider that price value when you see higher priced for cars that already have the Spots Exhaust.

Reitmeiers Werkstatt on First Street in Los Altos will do a PPI for you on that car, if the dealership will let you to take the car. They're only about 15 minutes away from Pearson as long as it's not rush hour.

If you do, my only advice is to be careful driving near or into their shop. Very high curbs there and an entrance that will eat your wheels/lip if you're not careful.

I'm a little unconventional. So my feeling is if you have 68k. I would buy new since your only about 20K away from that.
