I have just registered to the forums, have been following them for a while to learn... and to enjoy the fabulous pics of my dream car...

Originally from Spain, I am temporarily living in Miami, and am considering purchasing either a used 991.1 S or a new 991.2 base, with the idea of keeping her long term and bringing her back to Europe with me in a couple of years...

Thanks for the wonderful contributions and all that I have learned from you guys.

I'd highly recommend you research the important and conformance issues not too mention the import tax and VAT implications of taking a NA car
back into Spain/EU (and insuring it when you get it there)

I looked into this a while back for the UK, it was pretty complex to obtain type conformance, undertake any conversions (e.g fog lamps etc) not
too mention the import & VAT ...

Thanks, guys

I have been researching about the import/tax procedures for a while and don't look easy but didn't seem to be impossible either...

I know people that have done it with cayennes in the past, I assume 911 should be similar in terms of fog lamps, signal lights, etc.

I would appreciate any insight on this
