Here is a paint supply house in the UK offering Platinum Satin in aerosol or unmixed, which I assume has to be thinned. No mention of clear coat though, however it does look correct in the photos.

Love the color matched with the silver body. Am considering this for my Rhodium Silver C2S.

Agree. it's Arctic Silver. I think the result is fabulous! The original silver wheels made the car look a bit 'pale'....I guess the result on Rhodium should be great also!!!

Don't understand the difficulty. My last car a new 718 I had wheels painted satin platinum in-house by official Porsche dealer after delivery. Just traded for a used 991.2 with factory option satin platinum and the wheels are identical. Also, I have alloy wheel insurance used quite often (wife likes kerbing) and the UK mobile wheel guy (from Dent Wizard) touches repairs in just fine.

Has anyone found a shop in SoCal that can powder coat to Platinum Satin?

I'm trying to get my alloy wheels coated to Platinum Satin (OB5) and every shop I call in LA or OC can't match. The samples they are shwoing me do not look good at all.

I was using this site that a shop shared with me, but nothing looks right. https://www.prismaticpowders.com/sho...olor=pris_grey

I doubt you are going to find a powder coat match. (I won't get into the discussion over if the temp used in power curing hurts aluminum). It's hard enough to find anyone that can do paint.

I did find someone that will mix the BASF paint in OC. About $1000 for the paint. Then to find someone skilled enough to paint the water based paint and especially the satin clear.

I recently picked up a 981 CS with the platinum satin wheels(which I love) but very frustrating that Porsche doesn't seem to offer touch up paint in this color to touch up some blems trying to figure something out....

Has anyone found a Prismatic powder coat finish that is close to Platinum satin? The finish that GKGEIGER found looks very close!

Quality professional powder coating is far more durable than any paint. Only crappy amateur hour powder coating comes off when pressure washed.
