well I found the bumper on ebay for $1600 with all the parts brand new. I paid $225 for the grills, $250 on paint and $625 for xpel and I installed it myself.

so about $2700 total and 2 hours of my labor and $9 six pack!

Finally found the right child's seat. Maxi-Cosi Rodifix. Fits perfectly and now have room for someone taller than 3.5' in the front seat. Thanks to Rennlist and members for the posts regarding.

The installation was not hard, but I ran into only one minor issues that in hindsight I would have done differently because it would have made the job complete in less than 45 minutes. Getting the yellow/blue connector to unclip from it's securing tabs is really the only difficult part of the job. Well, getting it back into its securing tabs is no fun either. I should have gone back to the forum pages and viewed how to unclip the dome light panel. From there, the yellow/blue connector is easily accessed.

Last tip - Invest in a good set of interior trim tools. I use them ALL the time. Next DIY job is the Bose/Burmeister Tweeter upgrade. :-)

It's not a hard electrical job to tap the rear view mirror. Others by the way decided to do the job 'properly' by taking it to a dealer or a car stereo shop to run a wire up from the fuse box through the A Pillar and across through the rear view mirror. About $400 in labor. I wasn't about to pay that kinda $$ given the fact no one has reported any issues with hooking up their radar detectors via the rear view mirror with 'mirror taps'. I used the 15" tap and so far its working perfectly.

I went the fusebox "hardtap" route and had it installed by a professional install shop. It cost <$100 (not $400). Just install the Blendmount yourself and arrive with the radar installed in the mount. Make it clear what you want them to do, i.e. just the HardTap wire. Radar automatically comes on when you turn the ignition.

I used the HardTap wire from Blendmount - it has a nice braided finish where it plugs into the radar:

That's a solid price for what is easily an hour's worth of work by a pro.
