I hope not. I bought it online and will be having it installed. Let me look into that. Which one did you get? I had one before, don't remember which one, which one are you using?

If you find a fuse that will turn off when the ignition is turned off (i.e. radio, wipers) and tap into that fuse, the RD will turn off when the car is turned off.

I will soon be doing a C2s to GT3 front bumper conversion. So i received the plastic mounting parts for the bumper today. Was also expecting the bumper to arrive but it did not turn up.

To avoid these issues (and the very remote possibility that tapping into the electrical system could screw everything up and void my warranty) and save a few bucks, I simply plugged my V1 into the 12V outlet in the glovebox, ran the wire out of a hole in the bottom right-hand side of the glovebox, and used a pry tool to tuck the wire in through the pillars and headliner. You absolutely cannot see any wire.

The only issue is that I've used 1 of 2 12V outlets, but if I wanted an extra one I could just purchase a 12V outlet splitter...

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, KW Height Adjustable Springs, Pagid RS29 brake pads plus brake fluid flush. All confirmed/ordered and being installed next week Friday.

Will probably need to add a new Aerokit front lip shortly as well depending on how much we drop it. Aiming for GT3 ride height.

I had the HardTap wire (from Blendmount) installed in my 991 GTS (by a local installer). No need to turn on or off. Just jump in, turn the key it it powers up (and down when you turn off). Not sure if the installer did something special at the fusebox - but they said that is the way they always set them up.

Buy this, no running wire and it will turn off when the ignition is off. Much cleaner install. https://www.ebay.com/itm/321669892746

Run it to the fuse box. Really easy for a pro (or non-pro). My installer said never run to the mirror!

Does your installer have a logical reason or proof on any issues of tapping into the mirror? The benefit of tapping into the mirror is the radar turns on/off automatically with the ignition. Mirrortap has sold many units and lots of happy Porsche customers (on this forum).

The installer makes more $$ :-) It's good to spread the wealth and help feed his/her family

Some "not-quite-OEM-though-they-came-in-'OEM'-boxes" colored center caps. Luckily they came with a set of valve stem caps with colored logos, too. I'm feeling rather cresty.

XPEL installed by Chris at "All in The Details" in Morristown NJ: http://www.allinthedetailsnj.com

When I purchased the car the front end and half the hood was covered. I got the full hood section replaced with XPEL. I also noticed some very light rocks chips appearing on the rear fender above the P Sharks Fin! Decided to get the rear fender and rocker section done also.

Very pleased with the quality of Chris' work. He even wraps the edges under the panel (where he can).
