Only one thing...

I’ve seen and understood that you have put a straight line of felt in the front... ok

but I haven’t understood if there are also a little pieces of felt in the lateral and in the bottom of the glass (the end part of the video when you try to record with the go pro but probably go pro is too big to film inside and under the opened glass...

i ask that because I have probably seen two or three little pieces of felt lateral...

Have just repaired my 991.1 sunroof as per your instructions and must say it has sorted my one out and is now rattle free thank you for your help

 

Great suggestion from @vaderone . Like others above, I found an easier alternative that may work first: I applied Gummi Pflege (but I'm sure any rubber treatment would work as well) to all the sunroof seals, and the squeaking was remedied. I gather that doesn't work for everyone, but you may give it a try first.

 

Did both the felt and silicone lubricant and eliminated a ton of "rattles" that were in the sunroof! great thread.

 

the lubing with silicone, it doesn't last long, like every three month I had to do it.

I've been using this WD40, anyone have better solutions?

 

I have a different issue. Mine is rattle free when closed and vented. But rattles annoyingly when it's all the way open (it's annoying enough that I rarely open the roof).

Has anyone determined if this fix works for the rattle when it's open?

(PS I have the metal roof, not glass, but the panel mounts and is exactly the same apparently...)
