Why are there 2 exhaust tips per side?

Both tips work!
One is routed from the side muffler, and one from the center mufflers.
I'm not 100% sure how PSE works with the valves on the center mufflers. Maybe lower RPM's only side mufflers are active? I know they (centers) fully open at a certain RPM, but are the center mufflers functioning when the valves are off, or just a certain capacity? Might make sense since these aftermarket bypass pipes essentially just eliminate the center mufflers.

They are both open on start up and then the flaps close a few seconds later.
Then yes the PSE button will open them back up again.
Then yes the PSE button will open them back up again.

Mine (no PSE) stay open about 45 seconds on cold start up. Like Lex once said, time to put sunglasses on, seat belt, let the blue tooth connect to phone, then drive off! When the engine is warm, then they don't open at all at start, at least not to my ears. Lastly, IMHO the PSE button "should" default to the last setting it was in when the car was shutdown! I don't have PSE so my SharkWerks side muffler delete stays "ON" all the time😀!

If you want your pse on all the time, just disconnect the two pipes pipes on the actuators, and seal off the vacuum pipes so they don't keep sucking..
