I just realized I did not do a true into, since getting back on Rennlist, in my quest for a GT-4, that turned into a 991.
I was first here back in '04, when I picked up a nice '99 Boxster, but with my car A.D.D. I only had that for about a year, before I moved on to something else. I'm not going to bore anyone with the number of cars that came between the 986, and the 991.
I purchased a new '15 F80 M3, and did ED in December of '14, having owned a '10 E90 M3, I bought that car without driving one, or even seeing one in person before placing my order. It did not take long for the honeymoon to be over, as I found myself pining for an NA powered car, and the M3 was my 3rd Turbo'd BMW to let me down, '09 335i, and '11 X5M being the other two. The X5M was a blast, but it was still a truck, and the handling dynamics soon wore thin. So I consider that BMW's 3rd strike, and out.
With the hunt for a GT4 going nowhere, I started looking at the 991 forum, which led me to my local Porsche dealership, where I test drove a PDK 991 S, that was all it took to make me seriously consider the 991, and I expanded the hunt to include manual 991's,in S, or GTS trim.
The "Hot for sale pick of the week" thread gave me a good idea on pricing and options, and I found a car that was priced very well, but it was GR, and the price made me suspicious. After missing out on a SY GTS in Houston, I looked again to the GR car in San Antonio, and decided to pull the trigger.
That turned out to be a better buy than I could ever imagine, as the car was in mint condition, with a clear bra already installed, and an interior that still smelled like new, after 12k miles. The DME report showed 62 range 1 ignitions, and zero for the all the other ranges. It also has the extended maintenance package that is good through 2/17. I am getting used to the color, but it still feels conspicuous in GR/Black, even more so than my Yas Marina Blue M3, with the carbon fiber roof.
I think I finally found the cure to my "car a.d.d." and if I buy another, it will be in addition to this car.
This is a '14 S, with all the right options. Almost 3 years of warranty, and 2 years of paid maintenance left. I picked it up with 12,067 miles, and it just rolled over 14k, most of that being the drive from TX to NC.

I haven't had time, or favorable weather to take some better pictures.
Thats a great deal! I bet it was in the same price range as the M. So much more car for the money.
It's pretty close to the M, and it is definitely a lot more car for the money.
One thing I've managed to confuse myself about, the more I read about it... Does my car have SPASM? The center console has the Sport, Sport Plus, and the "Damper" button, but is does not have the Sports Spoiler Lip, which is supposed to be standard with SPASM
