I tried to place an order and used paypal to checkout but it threw an error when I clicked "confirm orderr" saying:

Any ideas?

so do these still function as reflectors, only in a color that matches your car? or are they just plugs that replace the reflectors?

I don't think they do thus the discussion on the legality of this mod.

Sorry if the site erred, but your order is in, thanks.

As for legality, some states have requirements for the amount of reflective space on the back - but rarely is this an enforcement issue. As small as these are, it would be strange to get pulled for not having reflectors in that space.

As for what these are - they ARE the OEM units, put through our pro paint process for plastics using factory chemistry to match the bumper. They snap into place after removal of the old units, and do not have any reflectivity. This is why the back end looks cleaner with them.

Worst case, you get a ticket for this, again odd/rare, and you could remove and replace with original reflectors (unpainted) if desired.

I assumed they were not reflective, based on how they appear in pictures... yet in a number of comments and on the product's web page they are still called 'reflectors'... so I wasn't sure.. seems that a product which is not reflective would not be called a reflector...

I do like the look though...

Thanks

Remember, in most states your rear license plate is reflective.

Mine are 4 years old and look perfect. Eric's work is top notch. I don't know if he ships to Europe. Check his website or send him a PM. He's always very responsive.

Quality is perfect. Previously purchased parts from him for my 996 interior painted to match the exterior in arctic silver. Bought Bumper plugs for the front of my 991 instead of fixing holes and repainting. Also perfect. Highly recommend anything from him if it involves paint.

I had bumper plugs on an old 986S years ago; bumper plugs, keyhole plugs and painted bumperettes on a 996TT after that. Outstanding work.

Exclamation

IIRC US has different size rear reflectors (larger and uglier) - make sure you're getting the right ones!
